Mechel IFRS net profit rises 29% to 6.2 bln rbl in Oct–Dec 2021

MOSCOW, Mar 1 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian metals and mining group Mechel attributable to shareholders of the company rose by 29% on the quarter to 6.2 billion rubles in October–December 2021, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

In 2021, Mechel’s net profit jumped to 80.6 billion rubles from 808 million rubles, with the revenue rising by 51% to 136.6 billion rubles and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) almost tripling to 118.9 billion rubles from 41.051 billion rubles.
